Teaching Mixed Ability Classes

Holidays are coming to an end and we, teachers, should think again and again how to make our lessons interesting and successful, effective for all of our pupils. Very often there are mixed ability classes  in our  secondary schools that's why we are persistently in search of how to teach English with the best result for all. 

Here I'd like to share some ideas from BRITISH COUNCIL and also of  Nick Michelioudakis (or ELTNick) which I found useful and helpful in such situation.

Підготовка вчителя до навчального року

Вже зовсім небагато залишилось до початку нового навчального року. Особисто я так і не змогла відволіктись і забути про свою роботу. Щодня перегортаючи  безліч сторінок світової мережі інтернет, шукаючи корисні та цікаві матеріали для своїх уроків, я збагатила власну базу для удосконалення викладання свого предмету та для ще більшої мотивації моїх учнів до його вивчення. 

Ось і сьогодні натрапила на корисний та цікавий матеріал, який не завадить прочитати учителям будь-якого предмету перед початком навчального року. 

Отже з яким настроєм іде учитель на святкову лінійку 1 вересня? Чого чекає від нового навчального року, на що сподівається? Можливо, на те, що цього року не буде карантину, і тоді вчитель встигне викласти все заплановане та ще і творчо попрацювати поза планом, провести для учнів цікаві екскурсії.

About the chart:
Pure vowels are arranged the same way as in the IPA chart: according to mouth shape (left to right, lips wide / round - top to bottom, jaw closed / open).

Diphthongs are grouped in rows according to their second sound.

Використання англійських  цитат створює ідеальні умови для розвитку мовлення учнів на різних етапах і рівнях навчання . Цитати слугують джерелом збагачення мови, підвищенню її логічної, емоційної та стилістичної виразності.

Teacher's Day in Ukraine

Teacher’s Day in Ukraine is celebrated on the first Sunday in October each year. This observance is held in appreciation of teachers and other workers in the education sector across the country.

Teachers play an important role in many students' lives.

What do people do?

Many Ukrainians celebrate Teacher’s Day with a range of activities, such as concerts, presentation of flower bouquets, and public speeches addressed in recognition of teachers and educational workers.

Public life

Teacher’s Day is an observance and not a national public holiday in Ukraine.

International Literacy Day at our school 08.09.2015

      Whether it’s reading or writing, literacy is an outlet to an untouchable world – your imagination. Not only is literacy a basic human right, it is a fundamental building block for learning as well as a personal empowerment tool. It is the catalyst for social and global progress.

On September 8th, 2015, we showed  the world the importance of literacy by celebrating International Literacy Day.

International Literacy Day gives children and communities a chance to rediscover the joys of learning, reading and wtiting  while raising awareness for those even without access to education.
