Teacher’s Day in Ukraine is celebrated on the first Sunday in October each year. This observance is held in appreciation of teachers and other workers in the education sector across the country.

Teachers play an important role in many students' lives.

Many Ukrainians celebrate Teacher’s Day with a range of activities, such as concerts, presentation of flower bouquets, and public speeches addressed in recognition of teachers and educational workers.

Ще дещо про сленг або "вебліш"

26 вересня відзначається Європейський день мов, як спосіб підтримки мовного різноманіття, двомовності кожного європейця та розвитку викладання мов у світі. Дійсно, зараз стає все більше і більше людей, які вільно розмовляють, як мінімум, однією іноземною мовою.
І у  продовження  теми Дня європейських мов.Я вже писала статті в своєму блозі, в яких розповідала про особливості інтернетного варіанту англійської мови ( weblish)  і знову повертаюсь до цієї ж теми.
Для людей, за межами Великобританії, навіть слово «сленг», може бути незвичайним, так от,  щоб прояснити: "сленг" відноситься до слів  повсякденного використання , які були недавно створені і, як правило, і якими говорять тільки окремі  групи людей.
Наприклад, сленг у Великобританії процвітає, з півночі на південь , зі  сходу  на захід ви знайдете цікаве поєднання англійської мови та регіональних діалектів, іноді під сильним впливом міжнародної культури або інтернет-культури.

A visit to Khutir Nadia . September,26

The Karpenko-Karyi State Museum-Reserve "Khutir Nadia" is a national historic site of Ukraine that was established on a territory of estate that belonged to Ivan Karpenko-Karyi, the playwright and theatrical figure of the late 19th - early 20th century.

The small complex is located 29 km (18 mi) west of Kirovohrad (former Yelizavetgrad, Lyzavethrad) in a village of Mykolayivka and not far from the major european route E50.

In 1970, during the celebration of Tobilevich's 125th anniversary, "The September Gems" annual theatre festival was inaugurated. This has involved the greatest of modern Ukrainian writers and theater workers, and it became pan-Ukrainian in 1990.

On Septemer,26 a group of our pupils and two teachers ( including me ) visited this magnificent place. It was the opening of  the 45-th Festival "The September Gems" , devoted to the Tobilevich's  170-s anniversary  and there were many guests from Ukraine and other countries. 

EIT–External Independent Testing- 2016

It is decided in 2016 to extend the practice of associations the State Final Assessment (SFA) and the EIT for two more subjects : Ukrainian and English languages - obligatory for all and 1 subject elected by students ( History or Mathematics).

Англійська мова не схожа на нашу рідну мову – українську, або на майже рідну – російську. Вона містить у собі  багато понять, яких немає в нашій мові і навпаки. Тому з одного боку вона складніша, а з іншого - легша. Люди, які спілкуються англійською, не звертають уваги на відмінки, а українці не виділяють в минулому часі ще 5 різних часів.

Але в англійській мові, як і в будь-якій іншій, є дуже багато цікавих аспектів. Одним з них є phrasal verbs. Під час вивчення англійської не всі школи і не всі вчителі вважають за потрібне пояснювати та вивчати phrasal verbs. Але на сьогоднішній день вони є невід’ємною частиною мови. І ви навіть можете не помічати, як використовуєте ці дієслова, коли говорите  “I get up at 7 o’clock” .

Phrasal verb (фразове дієслово) – це сполучення звичайного дієслова та постпозитива (прийменника, прислівника або того й іншого одночасно), іноді їх ще називають  дієслівно-прийменниковими словосполученнями. Значення такого дієслова не завжди відповідає дослівному перекладу його складових, частіше це значення набуває ідіоматичного характеру. Деякі фразові дієслова мають декілька значень, і як правило вони мають синонім із звичайних дієслів, який передає його суть.

International Day of Peace

       

The United Nations' (UN) International Day of Peace is celebrated on September 21 each year to recognize the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace. The International Day of Peace is also a day of ceasefire – personal or political.
